HTX Soccer Announces Additional ECNL Boys Regional League Playing Opportunities
HOUSTON (Friday, May 5, 2023) – HTX Soccer, Houston’s leading youth soccer club, expands its Elite Player Platform with the addition of a second Boys ECNL-RL program. Supporting the club’s nationally ranked program, the expansion brings further exciting opportunities for players from within the entire city of Houston and its surrounding communities.
For the 2023-24 season, HTX will form ECNL-RL North and ECNL-RL South teams for the U13 (2011), U14 (2010), U15 (2009), U16 (2008), U17 (2007) and U18/19 (2006/2005) age groups.
“The ECNL Regional League is part of the National platform and the feeder system to the National ECNL program. An extremely competitive program, the ECNL-RL consists of clubs throughout the state of Texas, which is a level above what the local leagues currently provide.” said Dave Dengerink, HTX Soccer Academy Director. “The expansion will provide increased opportunities for college recruitment, better facilities and a more consistent playing and training environment which supports player development. We’re very excited about this opportunity.”
The ECNL Boys Regional Leagues will offer a pathway to the ECNL Boys Regional League Finals, held in conjunction with the ECNL Boys Playoffs at a designated site.

Boys ECNL-RL North & South Player Placement & Tryouts
Players wishing to be evaluated for the ECNL-RL North teams should register for The Woodlands Tryouts. Players wishing to be evaluated for the ECNL-RL South teams should register for South Tryouts.
